Hello Community!
In this newsletter we talk about our Cinco de Mayo Sale, a YouTube playlist featuring reviews for games at The Game Crafter, our custom engraved wood dice being discontinued, and a new tutorial video.
Cinco de Mayo Sale

The Cinco de Mayo Sale is finally here!
It runs until May 9, 2025 and features discounts on a large number of games on our site. These community sales have sold thousands of games and have been great for indie game designers. On behalf of those designers and our team of crafters, we want to say thank you for your support.
Sir Thecos YouTube Playlist - TGC Games

Looking for great new games to buy at The Game Crafter?
Sir Thecos' Youtube Channel regularly reviews games from The Game Crafter community. His YouTube playlist has over 20+ videos which include unboxing, playthroughs, and reviews. Several of the games have won his "Sir Thecos Ace of Games" awards, which are then added as an accolade on the TGC shop pages for those games.
We shipped Sir Thecos 7 new games to review, (Cursed?!, Exobase, Mint Italy, Buds & Blooms, All Is Bomb, Hamster Park, and Buried Beneath), so there will be a bunch more playthrough/review videos coming out for those games.
Custom Wood Engraved Dice Are Discontinued

The Game Crafter has made the decision to discontinue custom engraved dice, as well as blank wooden dice. We will continue to offer our other custom dice options, including custom-printed D4, D6, and D8 and dice stickers to be used with blank dice.
While we have enough wood dice available to fulfill existing orders, we are unpublishing all games that are currently using custom engraved dice. Game designers will need to update the dice in your games and then you can republish whenever you are ready.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact info@thegamecrafter.com and we'll do our very best to help you out.
Tutorial: Organizing Slugs with Custom Punchouts

In this tutorial video, Alisha shows how to organize slugs and make custom punchouts at The Game Crafter. This includes downloading our templates, using a vector graphics program (ie. Adobe Illustrator) to create and format the art files, creating custom cut files, optimizing the cut files with Component Studio, uploading the art to The Game Crafter website, and building the game in the game editor.
