Have you checked our latest game app Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write? The game has been getting a lot of buzz recently. Players post their high VP results on the net and brag about being high in the World Rank. I admit getting into the craze as well. My current spot on the World Ranking is 70, and keeps rising :-D Check out the app - it's beautiful and really addictive.

Preorders started for the new expansion for Imperial Settlers

Fantastic news for all Imperial Settlers fans and I know there are many of you out there. We just launched preorders for a brand new expansion called Imperial Settlers: Rise of the Empire. It is completely different than previous expansions because it introduces an Open World Campaign in the Settlers universe. You will manage your Empire throughout many games and develop it from the Ancient Era, through the Middle Ages, Industrial Era to finally reach Modern Times. All this will take time, you will be achieving Quests, conquering new Provinces, finding Inventions. What's important, although it's a campaign and your achievements will transfer from game to game, it doesn't work like a Legacy game - you can invite new players in the middle of your campaign, and regardless of the differences in how developed your Empires are, the game will stay balanced, because a more advanced Empire is simply more difficult to provide for. Preorder it now to get 4 exclusive Interimperial Organization tiles and 6 cute memorial postcards with fantastic artwork.

Dig Deeper Last call - shipping of preorder copies began, premiere June 18th

If you're looking for an engaging game to play with your friends on a summer evening, I can't recommend Dig Deeper strong enough. In this standalone Detective case, you'll be investigating the mysterious death of a local politician in Arlington in May 1977. Rob Daviau, the author of the case, made sure the case was dripping with theme. Since the story takes place in the past, you'll be using the Librarian's help rather than an internet database. You'll also be able to interview suspects and speed up when cruising the city. Preorder Dig Deeper to receive a bonus set of 16 photos of suspects - great to use when building a mind map. The world premiere of Dig Deeper is on June 18th, so better hurry up before preorders close.

The story behind the Library - a new mechanic in Detective

In the new standalone case for Detective: Dig Deeper there is a new mechanic - searching information in the local Library. After all the case takes place in the 70's - no internet means that investigators had to use different work techniques than now. But looking up information in the old fashioned way means time - you can ask the librarian for help, but you have to allow them several hours before you get your results back. Read more about this new mechanic in the blog by Ignacy Trzewiczek.

Portal Games updating 2020 publishing plans

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and struggles in the publishing industry, we are forced to modify our publishing plans for this year. Two titles, Vienna Connection and Million Dollar Script, are being moved to 2021. On the other hand we are happy to announce two other new products for 2020 - Neuroshima Hex: Troglodytes and Monolith Arena: Golems.

New army for Monolith Arena

In the 3rd quarter of 2020 new expansion Monolith Arena: Golems will be released. The new faction will allow players to take on the role of Constructors and create their mighty Golems on the arena. Golems excel at strength and toughness but are limited by their building process. Playing as Golems introduces a new mechanic represented by two-sided champions' tiles – Golems get damaged instead of getting wounded and can be raised back by their Constructors. Stay tuned for more updates.

Last but not least, I strongly recommend you to check our page covering how to play Detective online. If your friends are far away, you can still have a great game night using internet communicators. You'll find a simple tutorial on our page on how to do it. So gather your friends in front of their screens and have a great mystery night!

Have a great weekend!
