Thank you all who have been with us on PortalCon online this weekend! We were excited to see so many of you watching our live convention. We announced pre-orders of two new titles: Empires of the North: Barbarian Hordes expansion, and Detective: Season One, a stand-alone game based on the mechanics of Detective. PortalCon was a two days long online convention full of events: gameplays, news releases, contests, tournaments, stand up, and more. You were with us all this time and we would like to thank you: some events gathered more than 300 people online. Neuroshima HEX 3.0 tournament was absolutely fantastic.

Detective: Season One pre-orders

One of the biggest events during PortalCon was the start of pre-orders of the long-awaited Detective: Season One!

Detective: Season One is a stand-alone game based on the bestselling and award-winning Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game. It's a new set of 3 unique cases with varying styles and locations—they're like no Detective case you've solved before. It's a fully cooperative game for 1-5 players that will transform your game nights into fascinating investigative experiences.

Pre-ordering Detective: Season One in our Portal Games shop will get you the game earlier than others, and in addition, you'll find a very special bonus when you get your copy. Each pre-order will contain an 88-page hardcover book—a Designer Journal by Ignacy Trzewiczek giving you insights from the design process like never before! What ideas were lost, or killed, along the bumpy road of the design? Who helped Ignacy to develop the best crime stories and transform the writing? Which solutions were rejected? What turned out to be the most fun during play-testing? Read the spoiler-filled book only after solving the cases and find out!

Empires of the North: Barbarian Hordes pre-orders

You can order the Barbarian Hordes with two new Clans of Barbarian faction with unique features not introduced before! This Saturday we announced pre-orders of Joanna Kijanka's latest expansion to Empires of The North! Who are the Barbarians? They're hiding along your borders, worshiping strange gods, having bizarre festivals, and no one understands a single word they're saying. Be careful – they steal! An expansion includes additional Island cards, tokens and markers including Raft and Ambush tokens. It works with other expansions as well.
